The pages on my web site are a collection of fishing and family pictures. I have pictures of friends that I met along the fishing trail and some that go with me from home.

Here are a few pictures that were taken June of 2000 while fishing Hazel Creek in the Smoky Mountains. We crossed Fontanna Lake by boat and hiked six miles up to Bone Valley. On the way out, my wife was nearly bitten by an Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake. I had to pull her back because she didn't know what the warning rattle was. That snake no longer is in the business of putting people in danger.

Hazel Creek along with Eagle Creek are two of my favorite creeks to fish. Mainly because I like the remoteness of the area.

Big Rock at Campsite #83. This is the only place I can wear my silly cap. Sharon calls it my yodeling cap. Most good quality caps are stupid looking. Sharon wouldn't be caught dead with me in town wearing this cap.

This trail in the park is the only trail that the park service will allow hikers to use a buggy to haul camping gear in and out. A lot of camping gear can be carried in and also a lot of FOOD. My wife Sharon likes to pull the cart. I don't know why, but it does give me a break. Really, I didn't make her pull it in all the way.

With all this gear, it is easy to stop on the way in or out and set up a break area. I might be about to do some fishing. Sharon will keep the bears away. I bought a cannister of pepper spray that is used in Alaska against Grissly bears, so she is just waiting for one to try his hand.
