June 2001 Fishing Trip

Each year improvements are made!

I built a new cart out of aluminum. It is much lighter than my other cart and has a better hitch, which uses flexible bands on a waist belt. A lot of camping gear can be hauled for miles very easily.

I don't normally carry the cart around like this, but as you
can see, it is light enough to lift overhead!!!

Thanks sweetie for bringing us a load of firewood! I better git busy and unload the firewood!!!!

The buggy weighed only 56 pounds!

Already plans are under way for another journey!

Sharon is so happy to have arrived. Now to set up the camp and rest awhile before fishing.

We camped here for five days. Sharon didn't do a lot of fishing, but the relaxing around camp was good. We were set up for a lot of rain with the tarps overhead, but we had five days of sunshine. It did rain on us while hiking out, but before loading the gear into the boat to cross Fontanna Lake, it had cleared up for us.

The hitch can be unpinned and lifted to a vertical position.
In the upright position, it transforms the cart into a cooking station.
